Why hire a professional organizer?
By now many of us have heard of The Home Edit, Marie Kondo, or seen Hoarders on TV. The popularity of social media has given rise to a new standard and expectation for our homes and lives. We see other people who have it all together, whose homes are immaculate, children are always polite, and they’re vacations are frequent and beautiful.
For most of us, this is not our reality. Instead, we wake up to a never ending to-do list, dishes in the sink, and a playroom that never quite stays clean. We unwind at night by watching a 30 min makeover show and find ourselves wondering why we just can’t get it together.
Professional organizing is about much more than purging and organizing things. If organizing were simply about removing stuff anyone could do it. Instead, professional organizing is about identifying the goals for you and your family and then creating a plan and system for your stuff to serve those goals. Each family, each home, each person is different and is going to have different needs. As professional organizers, it is our job to help you identify those goals and create a system that you can maintain long-term.
Our goal is to equip you to live in a way that aligns with who you are. It may sound cheesy, but we really do want you to be able to live your best life…where you are now. We’re about the today. The now. The reality. We can help you dream and plan for the future, but we love the present.
One of my favorite things about organizing is helping people fall in love with their spaces and (some) of their things again. Too often we get caught up in what could be and as a professional organizer it’s our job to see the possibility and help bring it to reality. There’s no greater honor than that.
